CFG Software Tools

Early in its history, CFG began developing software tools. Some of these have been custom developments and some have resulted in software products. They include:

• PDL/81™ — the tool for software designers,
• PL/M-80, the first high-level language compiler hosted on a microprocessor,
• The first production compiler for the FORTRAN 77 programming language,
• Numerous PL/M, C and FORTRAN compilers for a number of general-purpose computers.
